"When a person realises they can get outside of an identity they have assumed in order to view physical life from a spiritual viewpoint, they start to become aware of the freedom which lies within their reach. Doing this can then motivate the person to detach from other identities they have assumed during their lifetime. It motivates change.
So it's essential that we know the difference between ourselves and an identity we have assumed. Fortunately we can assume any identity we choose because we are spiritual in essence and can create identities. But to do this, we have to be aware of ourselves outside of an identity. In the same way a telephone won't ring itself up, if you are being an identity you can't create an identity. It takes a person without an identity to create an identity.
Once you find you can do something, you naturally become interested in doing it better. But of course, you first need to know that it works. A person can go through a whole lifetime and not attempt to do something because they don't know whether it works or not. They can get stuck with the consideration 'it can't be done' and that's it. When you detach from the thoughts of an identity that considers something can't be done, you realise it can be done. And if a thing can be done a little, it can be done a lot.
One of the reasons people don't persist in evolving to happier levels of existence is because their attention is stuck on an identity in the past. When this happens they can't expand their space to accommodate a better future. But by creating space in our future; in our consciousness; we can perceive what lies ahead. This means we can eliminate anything from the future that would stop us being cause over it.
By assuming the spiritual viewpoint on physical life, you can detach from assumed identities and view the actuality of life rather than the apparency."
