Melissa never said she was interviewing Adrian. We had no chance to reply to that.
- Adrian, a fire eater, when he began Kenja in 1979 – 1986, was a keen and willing participant.
- For a very brief period of time we allowed him to run his own business using the Kenja work in Brisbane.
- He ran this business for a while with Jenny Hodges.
- Adrian was asked to step down over inappropriate behaviour with a female client, after complaints by that client.
Did Adrian understand Kenja? – these are his own words in 1986:
“In my teens I realised that most people are conditioned. They are conditioned into fitting the stereotypes presented of normality that are prevalent in advertising, education and other forms of communication. When I met Jan Hamilton and later on Ken Dyers, I was interested in their classes and how similar their own viewpoints were to mine on the quality of life and being free of “social conditioning”… also on a personal level I know how much I have changed in that I can more easily express my love and care for others and am far less a “walking trap” for others to fall into. I am above all my own person… The Kenja game, and I call it that as it is only created with people’s willingness to play in it and get something out of it, is designed for the individual to grow, become more free and closer to one’s potential. With this in mind I will speak only for myself but suffice it to say I have seen many people use the game with fantastic results.
What happened to Adrian to change his viewpoint?
