Innocent victim?
- Wendy was a troubled woman
- Her son Michael, as a young man, spent a year doing some Kenja work
- He considered it the only time in his adult life he was drug free
- He stated he loved the work
- The pressure from Michael’s peers, including his brother, persuaded him to return to a criminal drug culture.
- He surfaced two and a half years after leaving Kenja, in a psychiatric hospital
- He was diagnosed with serious substance abuse problems and declared paranoid schizophrenic.
- His mother Wendy Beaver, with her own problems, refuses to this day to accept this.
- She became a target for Annette Stephens/ Bianchi who put into Wendy’s head that Michael was not sick, but simply brainwashed. Wendy was convinced that a “deprogramming” would cure Michael.
- So Wendy came under the influence of Annette Stephens and anti-cult forces. She attempted to get Michael to bad-mouth Ken and Kenja.
- He would not.
- Wendy Beaver took Michael out of the psychiatric hospital and took him down to Melbourne where they both stayed with Annette Stephens/ Bianchi; Michael was taken off his medication.
- Wendy says she went to Melbourne for Michael to be “deprogrammed by someone doing their PhD thesis in the Kenja cult”
- Annette takes them to the house of a lady with 3 daughters, all ex-Kenja participants. (3 girls who 2 months after Michael’s suicide make false allegations of molestation against Ken – charges of which Ken is eventually exonerated).
- There Michael and Wendy meet a Martin Katchen, an American doing his PhD on cults, supervised by Rachel Kohn (ABC religious programming).
- According to accounts, they take Michael off his medication and while he is in a distressed state without medication they try to get him to badmouth Kenja. The only place where he has been drug free, in his past.
- He returns to Sydney, and is to finally write a letter denouncing Ken and Kenja.
- He suicides after this.
- And Wendy Beaver is ruthlessly exploited in the press to blame his suicide on Kenja. She does this to this day.
- Melissa is the latest in line to take this anti-cult package of Wendy Beaver, Annette Stephens/ Bianchi, Louise Samways, and Stephen Mutch.
