Richard Leape

  • Richard Leape was one of the many people who come and go from Kenja activities; he was not involved in all Kenja activities
  • He again, appreciated Kenja.
  • There was a history of alcohol abuse in his background
  • But he was clean whilst doing Kenja activities.
  • He was separated from his wife and daughter
  • His ex-wife did not do activities in Kenja but appeared to have no disagreement with Richard participating in Kenja.
  • During 1991 Richard came and went from Kenja; he came and went as he wished and was not a regular participant
  • Richard balanced spending time with his daughter and the associated responsibilities with activities he did in Kenja
  • In approximately August of 1992 he ceased his Kenja activities which at that time had become minimal
  • It was in August 1992 that Annette Stephens began her campaign to discredit Ken and therefore attempt to destroy Kenja
  • From this time, roughly August 1992, we did not see Richard again at Kenja.
  • Remember, he was not a regular participant in Kenja but had slowly reduced his involvement over the years.
  • There are many hundreds of people in this category.
  • From August 1992 onwards various people sighted Richard; he had conversations with different people which indicated he was involved with a theatre group in Bondi and he appeared to be dissatisfied and distressed with the operation of this group.
  • Richard was involved in the area of performance.
  • In May 1993, Richard’s ex-wife rang, concerned, asking if anyone had seen him. Our conversation with her was open and we gave her all the information we had.
  • The idea of Richard demanding to enter Kenja premises and not being allowed in is just not the way we would have responded. This did not happen.
  • We have no facts about who influenced Richard after August 1992.
  • Who did Richard communicate with when he left Kenja in August 1992?
  • This time was the beginning of the recruiting of people to Annette Stephens/ Bianchi’s agenda.
  • As mentioned before the idea that we would deny Richard entry into Kenja when we had already received communication from his ex-wife and were aware that she was looking for him, is just not realistic.
  • Richard was positive and happy with his involvement in Kenja.
