Media / LegalPeter Faragher
- It is unfortunate that this gentleman’s name is brought into this proceedings.
- He is yet another innocent bystander.
- But if Peter’s name is to be dragged into it, we feel we have the right of reply.
- Peter Faragher was a young man whose girlfriend originally brought him to see Ken.
- It was in the early days of Kenja and Peter was basically a heroin addict.
- Ken took one look at him and told him he would only work with him if he got off heroin. Ken was instrumental in helping Peter get off heroin and Ken then worked extensively with Peter to help him rehabilitate from drugs.
- Peter developed a very strong friendship and admiration for Ken.
- Peter was involved with Kenja activities for many years, during which he was clean and not taking heroin.
- As with many reformed addicts Peter had some difficulty with the ethics in Kenja regarding respecting individual relationships.
- This every now and again caused for him problems concerning the barriers and ethics.
- Unfortunately, after many years of involvement, it was his breaking of one of these barriers that forced us to ask Peter to leave.
- Although Peter left, he did so with good will and his love and admiration for Ken was paramount.
- We do not have the documented proof for Peter that we do for Michael Beaver.
- But we do have word of mouth evidence.
- Peter, for a while, did well without Kenja.
- Then, we are told, he was approached by people associated with CultAware.
- Again you can imagine the pressure they put on him to badmouth Ken and Kenja.
- One of the people strongly affiliated with CultAware knew that Peter had, after this association with CultAware, returned to his previous heroin addiction.
- One of Peter’s “friends” who knew this deliberately withheld it from Ken.
- Given the nature of Peter’s relationship with Ken, Ken would have been able to get him off heroin again.
- But this “friend”, a CultAware-affiliated criminal, kept indicating to Ken that Peter was ok.
- After association with CultAware people, who pressured Peter to badmouth Ken, and after his return to heroin addiction, Peter began also to believe that he had been brainwashed and that Ken was a cult leader.
- There were some very sad interchanges with Peter’s previous associates in Kenja which revealed this.
- After Peter Faragher began publicly to denounce Ken and Kenja, and addicted to heroin, he took his own life.
- As previously mentioned we do not have the documentary evidence that we have in the case of Michael Beaver – we have just the evidence of people who spoke to Peter.
- But what must be strongly stated – this is the second main case of people committing suicide after being approached by CultAware-associated people to denounce the one association in their life which had got them out of trouble.
- It is time somebody has the courage to expose this.
