Unless you're a spirit, how can you be aware of how we're operating
as a spirit? Only a spirit can be aware of a spirit. A mind can't be aware of a
spirit. Only a spirit can. So you had to have the awareness of yourself as a
spirit. Not just as a mind. Insects have got minds. Dogs have got minds, Horses
have got minds. People have beingness. Or they’re supposed to, unless they've
deteriorated so much that they have no more beingness at all and they’re just a mind. And that constitutes a lot of people, love. A lot of people.
I just want to know what's happening on this planet. Curiosity. I’m a spirit
and I want to know. And the thing that's highlighted with me is curiosity. I
want to know what's the total content of this planet. I want to understand life
on this planet. Life is not just sweetness and light. You know, in a
cotton wool little universe. Life is what is there. There are beautiful,
wonderful things happening. And there are horrible, ugly things happening. I
want to know the lot. Not just the beautiful things and not just the ugly
things. But then I find that they all balance. And there's a reason for it all.
This is
every time a coconut.* And it is: If you want to
eliminate something undesirable, an undesirable thought or a consideration, you
can either go to the genesis of it, where it begins – you know, which you were
doing – or take over the automaticity of doing it. Do deliberately what you're
doing unconsciously. That’s taking over the automaticity - it's no longer
automatic. It’s not unconscious any more or automatic. It's now conscious.
So you go to the genesis of it that will clear it. Or alternatively, take over
the automaticity of the reaction.
There's no significance on energy, Energy is in the floor, the whole universe is
full of energy. The whole physical universe consists of one item: energy. Now,
you get a particle of energy and you put a significance on it. And now that
communicates the significance of the energy, the energy gives it mass. And so we can, this is scientific, I'm not talking about opinions I'm talking about scientific facts.
So if we can be cause over energy and its significance, we can be cause over
the physical universe. Is that fair enough? All we have to do is to become
cause over it. Now to be cause over energy, one has to perceive it. Because you
can’t be cause over something that you can't perceive – you're not aware of.

Background on Ken’s expression 'every time a coconut':
During the years Ken served as an Australian Army
soldier in World War 2, he did some of his combat training in the jungles of
New Guinea - this is where he was part of the 20th Brigade landings at Lae and
at Scarlet Beach, Finschafen. Part of his training involved drawing a pistol
from its holster to shoot coconuts in coconut trees. When someone was an
accurate shot, the army term for this was ‘every time a coconut'. In Ken's own
words, stable spiritual truths are in operation consistently: They never miss.
Thus he uses the same term 'every time a coconut'.
Definition of spiritual beingness:
Being aware of yourself spiritually, as separate to the physical universe.
