COMMUNICATING FROM THE HEART

When you communicate publicly how do you know what to say?

I look into my heart, honestly, then I always know what to say. It is the only way I've found that gets through to everyone. It's only then that you have the sensitivity to really understand people, and when you understand them they will trust you. They will trust you because they know you will not judge them. And then you are in a position where you can help them, or more accurately, where you can help them help themselves.

Intelligence doesn't touch people. It might impress them, but it doesn't move them. But if you talk from the heart, if you include the human viewpoint, everyone understands you. People will listen, because that viewpoint is very sane, constructive and compassionate. This is rare in the communication of adults, but very common for children. We lose this vulnerability, but we can get it back, the vulnerable communication based on a consciousness of love.

Why do people fear communicating with this vulnerability?

Because the last time they loved they were misunderstood, or judged. Then people say to themselves 'I will love again, but not as much as before. I will be vulnerable again but not as much as before.' If they make this decision enough times, they shut down emotionally and spiritually. They are no longer vulnerable. This happens to everyone to varying degrees. It is unfortunate because to the degree a person can no longer experience pain, they also can no longer experience joy.

What stops people looking into their heart and communicating from that viewpoint?

People fear looking into their heart because they are concerned they may find something they don't admire. Maybe pain - often it's pain, or anger - that's another energy that gets in the way. When people first really try to communicate what is important to them, what they really feel strongly about, they hit pain. They might be embarrassed by that energy, or scared they might be too vulnerable. But if they persist and get their communication out, that pain soon goes and from there they find their strength.

Why have you spent so much time developing your understanding spiritually?

I have spent most of my life working to get back to a natural spiritual understanding. A state where my attention is on the spiritual, not tied up in the physical. In this state there is no fear, because fear is something we learn. When something undesirable happens, something we would rather not experience, when there is that potential of it happening again, we hit fear. Fear in our energy field affects our thoughts and actions, because the characteristic of fear is that it disperses our attention. It's hard to hold your attention still when you are in effect of the energy of fear, but it's just unwillingness to experience something.

Basically fear concerns the present or the future, not the past, because the past is gone. It is based on a reactive evaluation of a past incident - the fear that it may happen again in the future. By resolving this reactive fear by bringing the cause of that fear from the unconscious into the conscious mind, we can consciously avoid a condition that will repeat itself in the future. Then we can make a choice. When you compulsively resist something you lose the ability to choose - after all, the freedom to choose is the essence of freedom itself; freedom from being compulsive effect. When you don't resist something, then you can view it, you can understand it. There is no point resisting anyway because it won't make that something go away. The only way to make something undesirable go away, is to overcome the unwillingness to spiritually experience it. It seems counter-intuitive, but it's true. If you face your fears, they vanish.'

When you've dedicated a large amount of your life to spiritually experiencing negativity, you no longer have any negative considerations or thoughts, especially if you have been at it as long as I have. Then you know that in your heart, your postulate is creative to the viewpoint of the human spirit. Creative to the childlike part of each of us. The term 'childlike' has no connection to the word 'childish', and in fact gives us a very direct route to wisdom, rather than just intelligence no matter how old we are, no matter what gender or religion we are, the part of us that just loves unconditionally. The part of us that stays young as the body ages. That's the part of a person that counts, the part that loves and embraces the magic of life. The magic of what is possible if you don't become negative, the pure potential.

Why have you dedicated so much of your life to understanding people?

I can't think of a better way to spend my life. At the start you spend your time improving your own life. Getting successful in whatever way is important to you. You might go after money or power, you might seek attention or admiration or want to create a family or a successful business. When you have achieved these things - and I have done most of them in my life, I have done a lot, tried to fit as much experience into my life as I can, and that's a fair bit when you are 83 - when you have achieved these goals, you realise that you've spent a lot of time, attention and energy getting there. Then you say to yourself, 'What now?' That is the big question. It's like you get to the top rung on your ladder of goals and there is nowhere else to climb.
This is when you realise that life is not a physical game. The playing field is physical, but the reach is spiritual. At that time your life will change permanently. It did for me. Above the last rung of the physical ladder, if you look up from there you'll find the spiritual viewpoint and that's when life gets very exciting.

What is your viewpoint on life?

Life is a game. You can play it any way you like, but there are rules, spiritual rules. These are senior to the physical laws - the action of understanding physical laws is the study of physics - but you can't read about spiritual rules in a book. Even if you could, you wouldn't understand them.

People build up Karma when they break the spiritual rules. If you understand them, and if you live by them you will have as much friendship, love and personal freedom as you can imagine. If you do not live your life by them, life will teach you lessons. It's a learning process, a process of evolvement and it's important to realise from the start that we are all in this together.

You can only understand these rules by experiencing them - life experience. This can take a long time in your daily life, or can be understood quickly by experiencing them through meditation. That's what we do in Kenja - Energy Conversion Meditation. Kenja is here to enable the human and the spirit to harmonise together to create an environment that will expand to others and make this a benign place to live.

This is the game I am playing, the game I have been playing for some time. It is my motivation. It could be yours.
