TEACHING SPIRITUALITY

Is spirituality something you can teach a person?

How do you teach a person to be something they already are? It would be like teaching a person with legs how to have legs. You can however, help them use their legs to run faster and jump higher.

Understanding spirituality is a personal journey without a finite destination. It is a lifelong exploration, something to work at developing constantly. It is about 'letting go' of who you think you are in order to get back to what you are - a spirit.

Effective meditation will facilitate this understanding.

As we become more conscious that we are spiritual in essence, our natural lighter perceptions return. These perceptions are subtler than the body's senses and allow us to relate on a more sensitive level. As our ability to know increases, our need to believe diminishes. As our understanding of time, space and energy increases we have access to more accurate information to make our life decisions.

Our relationships improve, our friendships improve, our joy for life increases.

Whether a person chooses to acknowledge it or not, the reality is we are all spiritual.
It is not something to learn. It is something to be aware of.
