Lawyer: Mr Dyers made a bail application this morning at Sutherland Court which has been successful; it was resisted strenuously by the prosecution but bail has been granted. Mr Dyers would like to make a statement, since you’ve asked him to, and he’s prepared to do so. Mr Dyers is not well but he’s prepared a written statement, you would like to make that Mr Dyers?
Ken: Yes. Well. I’ve written it down. We’ve had a significant victory today, to get bail against the police objection. There was a strong police objection to getting bail. This is a frame up—no question—another attempt to destroy me—myself and Kenja. There’ve been lots of attempts; this is another one. I’m innocent, I’m innocent, yes, and as long as my health holds up I will fight these bogus charges. The usual suspects are after me again. But I am not running away from them. I never did. I think it’s time the media started looking at people behind the witch hunt. It’ll reveal to you a lot of wonderful news.
Reporter: Who are they?
Ken: They were in America and they were called Cult Aware. There’s a lot of information on them, not to mention Mr Millikan has been investigating them.
Reporter: Mr Dyers, is Kenja a cult?
Ken: Is football a cult? I’ve got quite a number of sporting teams. I’ve got, or at least Kenja has; there’s soccer, touch football, aussie rules, netball—two netball teams—basketball teams
Reporter: So how would you describe Kenja?
Ken: As a blessing to Australia if you really want to know, to the spirit, the human spirit of the people of Australia.
Lawyer: Thanks very much, that’s enough.
Reporter: Mr Dyers there was quite conclusive evidence you couldn’t have actually molested these girls, do you feel like going into the medical issues that were raised today?
Lawyer: No we won’t do that now, thanks very much, we’ll have that opportunity in court in due course.
